Barista (Full Time And Part Time)

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time Barista positions at the UF Admin-Racquet Club Dining Center in Gainesville, FL. Candidates must have experience in coffee shop operations, barista skills, and customer service. The pay range for this position is between $14.00 and $20.00 per hour. Applicants should be prepared to work various shifts including AM, PM, weekends, and on-call hours. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until all openings are filled.

Requirement: Coffee shop, barista, customer service experience required. Pay Range: $14.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary: Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food and beverage items. Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations. Interacts with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner. Essential duties and responsibilities include preparing espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes, entering orders accurately into POS device; accepting cash and charge payments, replenishing condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area, ensuring proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; following HACCP standards, maintaining sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils, ensuring proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards, keeping display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service, cleaning equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments, greeting customers courteously and interacting in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction, relaying relevant concerns from customers to supervisors, serving customers quickly and efficiently, and preventing delays in serving lines, demonstrating a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explaining them to customers, serving as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process, ensuring all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards, serving food neatly and attractively per standard, and performing other duties as assigned.
