Window Cleaner Needed — Birmingham, AL (The Summit) — Monthly Recurring Work

Location: Retail store at The Summit, 310 Summit Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35243. Exact store shared once you're confirmed and onboarding.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're North Co Commercial Cleaning, hiring one window cleaner for a national home goods retailer's store in Birmingham. Steady, recurring work — same store, same schedule, every month.

SCHEDULE — SET DATES, 8:30 AM START

- Monday, September 21

- Monday, October 19

- Monday, November 16

- Monday, December 21

Continues monthly after that. These dates are firm — the store sends a manager to let you in, so they don't move.

PAY

- $50 flat per visit

- Time on site: about 45 minutes to an hour (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)

- Effective hourly: roughly $50–$65/hr

- Done well before most day shifts start

THE WORK

Interior and exterior storefront glass — entry door glass in and out, squeegee and detail all edges and corners, polish handles, sills and doorplates, remove spider webs, gum and tape, wipe frames and ledges dry. Standard storefront glass only, ground level.

SUPPLIES

All window supplies are stocked at the store. Nothing to buy, nothing to haul. You're welcome to bring your own kit if you prefer.

EXTRA PAID VISITS

- Twice a year you team up with our store cleaner for a full deep clean of the store — paid separately.

- You're also the backup for the weekly store cleaning. If our store cleaner is out and you cover a visit, you get that visit's pay. Extra paid visits when they come up.

RELIABILITY — READ THIS

Service happens on the scheduled day, every time. Any schedule change on your end needs 48 hours' notice. No-shows are the one thing that ends this relationship — if you can't make a visit, you tell us ahead of time and we cover it. Communication is everything.

PAY & CHECK-IN

- Flat per-visit pay, no hourly clock

- Check in, upload before/after photos and videos, and check out using the link we provide — this is how you get paid

- Pay goes out within a couple hours, as long as everything's confirmed: your walkthrough with the store manager, your photos uploaded, and a call from me to the store confirming they're satisfied

- Parking: reimbursed only with a receipt showing date, time in, time out, place, and total

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be 21 or older

- Real experience using a window scrubber and squeegee — this one isn't optional. Spray-and-wipe with paper towels won't work for storefront glass.

- Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/public transit does not qualify)

- Working phone with camera for photos and check-in

DRESS CODE

Slip-resistant shoes recommended (we can help with those if needed). Clean plain blue or black shirt, jeans or non-athletic shorts — nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back, arrive clean and presentable.
