Host / Server – Full-Time or Part-Time

Honest Restaurant – Artesia, CA

We are hiring friendly, dependable, and energetic team members to join our front-of-house team as a  Host/Server .

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, communicates clearly, and wants to grow in the restaurant industry. Both experienced candidates and motivated beginners are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.

Position Overview

As a Host/Server, you will help create a welcoming and organized dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

Depending on the shift and restaurant needs, you may assist with both hosting and serving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Manage the waiting list and seat guests efficiently
• Answer questions about the menu and restaurant
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Enter orders correctly into the POS system
• Serve food promptly and check on guests throughout their meal
• Process payments accurately
• Answer phone calls and assist with takeout orders
• Prepare tables before service and reset them after guests leave
• Maintain clean dining, entrance, service, and waiting areas
• Refill water, utensils, napkins, and other service supplies
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house team members
• Assist coworkers during busy periods
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and cleaning duties
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary

Experience

• Previous restaurant, customer-service, hosting, or serving experience is preferred but not required
• Entry-level candidates are welcome
• Training will be provided
• Candidates must obtain any required California food-handler certification

Schedule

We are hiring for:

• Full-time positions

• Weekday shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Day and evening availability
